Why do we care about the wrinkles on our face?  Ok, I admit it is an entirely new language, but if you look at the face of a loved one and see lines that denote deep sorrow, or disempowerment or worry, isn’t it nice to know to gently suggest concern? It is one more piece to provide self-healing tools of empowerment to “Tap the Radiance of Well n Being” (my mission statement).

The skepticism lines on the forehead reflect someone who was lied to as a child, found people weren’t honest; and this person will tend to weigh and measure what others say. These lines can be good if eyes are not narrowed. Lines by the nose indicate one who swallows their feelings, stuffing them by an outward attitude “that’s OK” no matter how he/she feels; thus disempowering the person. Lines above the lips reflect one who puts others before themselves. Lines on the side of the mouth indicate one has experienced much disappointment. A line horizontally across the chin reflects one feeling overworked doing something they don’t really want to do (they may tend to project lack of care about what others think because they can’t afford to care & take more on). A vertical line on the chin may indicate someone who wants to be on stage, feels compelling desire for attention and feedback.

These are general guidelines. Look in the mirror and reflect with these diagrams. Address the emotions that are stuck in the ways set forth over the last several weeks. Shift Wrinkles of Sadness, Sorrow & Grief

                Wrinkles are our gift of warning, our wake up calls, our map of trauma and joy! We do have joy lines too (crow’s feet at the outside of our eyes); humor lines (vertical lines on bottom lip); and purpose lines (from outside edge of nostril to corner of the mouth). The focus of these columns is to provide information to enable reflection on the deep emotions that sometime haunt us, but may not be recognized since we have become so comfortable in living with and emotion or old trauma.

Wrinkles Between Eyes-Irritable or Worried?

Face Wrinkles-What They Tell About Your Health

                When gazing into the mirror and finding new wrinkles suddenly appearing, did it ever occur to you that these wrinkles are a direct reflection of the health of the energy in and through your organs? Each emotion we experience is directly associated with an organ of the body. For example, if you are feeling irritable and annoyed for an ongoing period, you will likely find vertical wrinkles starting at the inside edge of your eyebrows and extending about ¾ of an inch into the forehead. Over the next several weeks, you will learn the meaning of some wrinkles on your face and what to do about them.

Sometimes life’s events, so often unforeseen and unexpected, turn the smallest event into a sense of the “tiger being in the room”, which places our bodies in the highest state of alert to watch out for the tiger. Often, no matter how much we tell ourselves that all is well and our response is out of proportion to the dilemma, our bodies don’t buy into the thought. This is because we are in a state of fight, flight or freeze—an alarm state controlled by Triple Warmer, who is governed by and governs the hypothalamus (our primitive brain).

EEM First Aid— Release Neck & Shoulder Tension

1. Stand with your arms hanging down the sides of your body. Make tight fists engaging all the muscles in your arms and shoulders.

2. Lift your shoulders as high as possible while continuing to engage the muscles. While the shoulders are held high, roll the head to the right and hold for 2 breaths. Roll the head to the left and hold for 2 breaths.

3. Repeat until you feel the muscles begin to relax.
