Stiff Joints can Dance on the Beach!

   It is Valentine’s Day and you want to have a romantic evening, with a glass of wine and dance to the music on the beach, right? You want to take your loved one in your arms and rock the night away, right? OK, so what is stopping you—a joint that doesn’t want to cooperate? No problem, lets learn ways to loosen it!

   Last week we reviewed 3 techniques to get energy flowing to the joints—1. Connecting Heaven and Earth (and this one continues to be the favorite and most beneficial of all the exercises); 2. Belt Flow; and 3. Spindle Cell Pinching. Today, let’s add some additional ones targeted to specific areas of the body that may give you pause.

   For the knees– behind each knee there are 3 gallbladder neurovascular points that often get “stuck”. Place the palm side of the hand against this area and then switch by placing the tops side of hand over the area. Rotate the hand several times from palm to back of hand until you begin to feel a release. Also, figure 8 the back and front of the knees.

   For the legs, especially the calves– our calves hold energy associated with Triple Warmer (TW). Stiff Joints can Move with the Music!

   During a workshop at The Community House this month, the focus was on joints. Many attendees had joints that were “screaming” for attention, bringing continual awareness to that hip, knee, elbow or shoulder. We energy checked the joints, so one could see there was no energy moving through the area—it was stuck, locked or clogged. As we did some of the exercises you will learn today, there were immediate shifts and the joints started humming rather than screaming—maybe even singing along. Who knows? We all knew because after the exercises we rechecked the same joints and each person observed that same joint area now having energy flowing through it, enabling them to “move with the music”. Well, at least to begin to move more comfortably.

   So, if you want to “move with the music” and shake those hips or knees, try these exercises.

Connecting Heaven and Earth. This exercise makes space in the body, especially in the joints. An added bonus is that this exercise activates one or more of the 10 Radiant Circuits—an energy system that has its own innate intelligence enabling it to travel anywhere in the body or our auric field, that it assesses energy is needed!

  • Step 1. Place your hands on the thighs, fingers spread. Envision pulling energy from the Earth into your thighs to meet your hands.
  • Step 2. Inhale through the nose while bringing your arms in a circle to meet at your heart center in prayer position. Exhale through the mouth.
  • Step 3. Inhaling through the nose, stretch one arm up and the other arm down with palms facing the heavens and the Earth. Stretch fully on the side with the arm that is above, feeling the stretch along the entire side of the body. Exhale through the mouth and return the hands to prayer position. Switch arms and repeat. Do this two more times for each arm.
  • Step 4. Return your arms to your sides, bend at the waist, bend the knees slightly and figure 8 your feet while taking 2 deep breaths.
  • Step 5. As you rise from the bent position, roll the energy up your body with your hands, starting at the feet and rolling it all the way over your head. Bring your arms back to your thighs.

Resolve –Strengthen Your Heart Energy-Part IV!

     The last 3 columns were devoted to the boosting heart energy. So far, we have learned 1. Improving our Internal Compass to help revitalize; 2. Holding our Heart Source point to reduce heart dis-ease; 3.Biting down on the little finger to calm the body; 4. Tracing the heart meridian; and 5. Learning how to open the horizontal band of energy at the waist (Belt Flow) and last week learning to activate the Radiant Circuits (a separate energy system). Today, you will be introduced to 2 additional tools. This past week I received an email from a reader reporting a reduction in her heart arrhythmia after she did these exercises daily for 2 weeks! Holding our Heart Source point to reduce heart dis-ease; 3. Biting down on the little finger to calm the body; 4. Tracing the heart meridian; and 5. Learning how to open the horizontal band of energy at the waist (Belt Flow). Today, you will be introduced to yet additional tools to strengthen the heart energy. The fascinating part of these approaches, are that they are endless. When working one on one with a client, the energies are assessed, with a determination made as to which technique is the most viable.    Remember that your heart is the largest generator of electricity in the body and the last organ to stop when the “lights go out”. So, we want to do whatever we can to assist the heart’s energy to stay strong and vibrant, so we feel the same! Last week we learned 3 tools to assist: 1. Improving our Internal Compass to help revitalize; 2. Holding our Heart Source point to reduce heart dis-ease; and 3. Biting down on the little finger to calm the body.

   This week we will visit a number of additional techniques, some of which you may remember from prior columns—which demonstrates how interconnected our energies are-by moving energies in one area the impact is far reaching, effecting many other parts of our being as well.

   Trace Heart Meridian. If you are feeling anxious; overwhelmed; in panic; have angina, experience pain in your armpits; gums bleeding; low or high blood pressure; pain in chest; chill easily; circulation problems; dizziness; overheat easily; heart palpitations; bleeding problems; extreme thirst; excessive bruising or swollen glands—then it is extremely likely you will benefit from tracing your Heart meridian!

  5. Hold thumbs and middle fingers in this position 5 to 20 minutes. You will begin to feel shifts occurring and after taking several deep sighs, you will know you are finished.
  6. End by making small Figure 8s over forehead to stabilize the shifts

Another technique to assist if experiencing any heart dis-ease, whether arrhythmia, circulation issues, blood pressure etc. is to hold the Heart Source Point. There are source points associated with each meridian. Source points are acupressure points that act as reservoirs of energy directly associated with the organ itself, enabling a boost or removal of energy from the organ, in this case the heart. Eating for Comfort puts on the Pounds-EEM to Rescue

Last week we addressed eating due to stress, learning tools to assist in providing immediate alternatives to the FOOD!  This week the focus is on eating to find emotional comfort.   5. Hold this position for several deep breaths, inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the mouth.

Balancing Energetic Flow between the Eyes Improves Vision

Last week we learned that by doing 8 exercises for the eyes, known as Daily Eye Energy Routine, you may improve your vision! Caring for our Eyes- the Windows to the World

Time to fess up and raise your hand! How many of you do any eye exercises? How many have done eye exercises in the past? Ummmm. That is a pretty poor showing of hands. But no worries- start now and make a difference! While teaching an EEM Foundations class in Dallas, TX 2 weeks ago, one of my students reported that after having done the daily eye exercises for 3 months, her right eye improved form 20/40 to 20/20! A senior faculty member of EEM reported that after 3 months of doing the eye exercises, including ones targeted for cataracts, that her ophthalmologist reported the cataracts were gone! There you have it, decide for yourself if this is “proof in the pudding”. So, let’s learn the 8 exercises in the Daily Eye Energy Routine (DEER) which takes 5 minutes or less:

1. Rub eyes when you awaken. When I was a child, we were told to never rub our eyes. In reality, rubbing the eyes, if done gently, engages the Stomach meridian, which has its high tide from 7-9 AM. Remember that this meridian runs right through the eyes?

2. Palm the eyes and rub the orbits while still in bed. This technique brings in fresh healthy energy to the eyes. In Japan, many schools include this exercise as part of the school day, resulting in Japanese children wearing fewer glasses!

Step 1. Rub both hands together and then shake them off. Cup both hands, placing them over the eyes (but not touching the eyes). Cross your little fingers over the 3rd Eye (between the eyebrows) while placing your thumbs over your temples. Make sure the fingers extend into the hairline. This posture increases flow into the eyes (the palms of your hands are dispersing energy from their south polarity); the thumbs are on Triple Warmer to calm the body; the crossing of the fingers is located over the Bladder meridian end points and at the point where the energy crosses from the right to the left side of the body and the fingers are at the Liver Neurovascular points (Liver meridian is the primary meridian associated with the eyes). Hold for 1 to 3 minutes. It feels juicy doesn’t it? Yeah. Ready for Step 2?

Step 2. Rub the orbits around the eyes to simulate flow, balance the brain circuits that receive visual stimuli and reset the muscles of the eye.

3. Be shifty eyed. Throughout the day move your eyes from close to far, from focus to scanning, keep your head straight while you look all the way to the left, to the right, up and then down. Keep those eyes loose in the head

4. While reading, working on the computer or text messaging, stop for a moment. Rub the orbits of your eyes around the eye sockets, and then palm them (number 2 above) for a minute or so.

5. Wash eye glasses in cold water at least one time per day. Did you know glasses collect stale energy, which gets stuck on the glasses and frames themselves? 7. Use good eye support ergonomics. Use good light, sit the correct distance and in proper posture when at the computer, watching TV, reading or driving in the car. Just be mindful.

Energy Medicine—as a Preventative & Its Impact on Physical or Emotional Issues

The last 2 weeks have been devoted to providing a foundation about Eden Energy Medicine and not only how it works, but why it works.
