Presenters & Purpose: Karen L. Semmelman JD, EEM Advanced Practitioner and principle of Semmelman Energy Center and Valerie Webb, Practice Manager and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner with Specialized Veterinary Services, have joined together to provide an opportunity for you to learn both how to help, support and assist your pet by balancing his/her energies in a meaningful way to optimize health and how to provide basic support for the muscular and skeletal system.

Description of Workshop: Chezzy, Karen’s Golden Doodle and another animal will be on hand to enable Karen and Valerie to show how to balance his energies and massage sore tight muscles or help align the body. Learn how to hook up your pet, whether it be a dog, cat, horse, guinea pig etc. Animals have meridians just like humans, and their organs, muscles and systems are comparable, including their muscles. You will observe the immediate shifts in Chezzy as his systems are balanced and relaxed. Learn where the navel and 3rd eye are located; how to cross his energies; how to do the 4 thumps to boost his energy and help him be grounded; how to make space in the joints; how to provide immediate relief under stress by sedating the meridian controlling stress; how to do a spinal flush to get energy moving from head to tail (which impacts the nervous system immediately as well); plus much more. You will learn where the animal’s meridians are located and how to help your animal depending on the condition needing attention.

Valerie will demonstrate basic massage tools for your animal to provide immediate and comforting relief from sore muscles or misaligned muscles. If you pet has spasms in parts of its body, you will see how to assist in promoting calmness and relief to these areas. As a pet rehab specialist, Valerie has worked with many pets for over 9 years, ending with their welcome licks for providing relief.

By combining EEM and massage, your pet will be absolutely delighted with your new found skills. You will be pleasantly surprised at the relief that is provided by influencing subtle energies with your hands and intention; plus the bond between you and your pet will be strengthened! This workshop is a combination of demonstration, lecture and observation…. If you are interested in having Karen and Valerie work with your pet and you individually, you may schedule a ½ hour appointment for $40 to learn how to apply this newly acquired knowledge to your pet and get tips from them.

Rationale for the Workshop: Karen has been writing a weekly article on Energy Medicine for several years and observed that the series of 5 articles on pets got the most emails, calls and interest of any articles she has written. Many have asked if she will do a workshop for pets. Valerie gets the same requests in her practice. So together their collaboration will provide the best of 2 worlds for your pet. You will gain confidence and knowledge in working with your animal to provide relief and comfort. It is the intention of the workshop to have attendees leave with a comfort level that will enable her/him to engage in energy, massage shifting with their pet and to teach other family and friends to do the same.

Karen’s Background:Karen L. Semmelman, EEM Advance Practitioner; JD; AAML(03-12) and authorized teacher of Year 1 EEM Foundations Classes Program, has 35+ years of experience teaching to live audiences, on television and video. Having been a trial lawyer for 30 plus years before undertaking her 2nd career in EEM, Karen is skilled at engaging attendees in an interactive and dynamic learning style. Dedicated to EEM, she writes a weekly column for the Sanibel Island Sun Newspaper; presents numerous workshops and seminars on EEM throughout the country; and engages in a private energy practice in both Sanibel and Boston.

Valerie’s Background: Valerie Webb is the Practice Manager and Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner at Specialized Veterinary Services in Fort Myers, Florida. She is a licensed veterinary technician and has been practicing for 15 years. Before joining Specialists in Veterinary Surgery, Valerie was the surgery supervisor at PetPB, Animal Emergency and Referral Center in Boynton Beach; and also at Veterinary Specialists of South Florida in Cooper City. She attended the Canine Rehabilitation program at the University of Tennessee, graduating in 2010. Along with her interest in surgery and rehabilitation, she has a special interest in anesthesia.
